To be or not to be...
We are about three weeks into rehearsals for our kids' adaptation of Hamlet. It is our third production to date. Usually January and February are such BLAH months, a play is just the thing. But this year, with being a new RS president, training for my first marathon (ha!), trying to lose 15 lbs, and deciding if we have it in us to parent just one more child, I thought I would skip the play. To no avail!! My kids look forward to doing a Shakespeare play on a yearly basis now. McKay is playing the title role, Natalie is gravedigger #1 (her bid to taking a smaller role this year in the hopes of playing Juliet in next year's play), and David is a royal guard. We have about 19 elementary school age kids involved in the show. So far, so many parents are involved that it hasn't been too much of a strain. Darren is a saint--that is all I have to say. Performance date: March 5th. Stay tuned for more...

Good gravy, Erin! CLEARLY you need to have another baby, if only to provide a much needed excuse to allow yourself to slow down. :-) Besides, I'm completely convinced that 5 is the perfect number of kids.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you are just so darn awesome. I'll be anxiously awaiting the blog post after the performance!
